Who Are We ?
VitamFero SA is a young French innovative company. It emerged from an entrepreneurship initiative run in the frame of a technology transfer operation aiming to value at the industrial level a novel and proprietary prophylactic approach (i.e. Toxo KO) patented conjointly by CNRS (“Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique”), INRA (“Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique”), 2 major French public research institutes, and François-Rabelais University of Tours (France).
Actively supported by numerous French local and national organizations in charge of promoting innovation (i.e. ARITT Centre, Oséo Innovation, Pole of Excellence Prod’Innov and Atlanpôle Biotherapies, Genopole Entreprises, Scientipôle Initiative, PolePharma, PharmaValley and France Biotech), and by national and regional government bodies (i.e. the French Ministry of Research, the “Conseil Général d’Indre & Loire”, the “Délégation Général des Entreprises” and the its “Fond Unique Interministériel”, the “DIRECCTE Centre”, EU and FEDER Funds, and the “Conseil Régional du Centre”), VitamFero is deeply involved in the development of anti-parasite vaccines fulfilling unmet needs essentially in veterinary health.
Having been headquartered in Genopole Entreprise in Evry (France) since January 1st, 2009, VitamFero performs most of its R&D operations in its Tours (France) facilities set up in the heart of the Philippe-Maupas School of Pharmacy of the François-Rabelais University of Tours, the public laboratories where the vaccine technology that VitamFero intends to exploit was elaborated and perfected.
As of today, the majority of the registered capital of the company is held by founders, French capital venture funds (i.e. CapDecisif Management and G1J Ile-de-France) and a few members of Val de France Angels, a group of Business Angels affiliated to France Angels national network and operating essentially locally.
